Before creating LMG (Lifestyle Marketing Group) at the beginning of 1991,
a Saatchi & Saatchi sports marketing subsidiary in France, from 1988 to 1990, he was Director of Sponsoring for the Larrousse – Lola – Lamborghini Formula 1 racing team where he developed a highly innovative marketing approach inspired by his earlier experiences with the « French Challenges » for the America’s Cup (France 3 in 1983 and Challenge France in 1986).

LMG was acquired by Havas Advertising in 1998 and is at the origin of the Havas Sports founding.

Since 1998, Lucien Boyer has successfully expanded Havas Sports business in France by developing the concept of sports communication agency.

Member of the Havas Media Executive Committee, he is now in charge of developing the Havas Sports & Entertainment network throughout the world present in 15 countries today.
Working with brands like Coca-Cola or adidas, and with major sports organizations such as the Rugby World Cup Organization Committee, Havas Sports & Entertainment is today recognized as a leading sports communication & brand content agency in the world.

Complementing this sports marketing experience, he was Advertising Manager at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising from 1987 to 1988.

A graduate of ESSEC Business school, Lucien Boyer is 45 years old, married and has three children.
