Presentation
‘L’Art du Déplacement’ (the Art of Moving), a name that holds both sporting and lifestyle connotations, is the art of transporting oneself from one point to another by adapting the physical techniques of Running, Jumping and Climbing. Developed 15 years ago in France, this discipline is also known around the world as Parkour or Freerunning, and it was made popular by the founders of the artistic and sporting collective known as the YAMAKASI. Their idea was to coordinate these practices and make their virtues known to a wider public.

Objectives
ADD ACADEMY was launched in the Parisian suburb of Evry, where the ADD (‘Art Du Déplacement’) movement began, and its long-term goal is to become the veritable centre of the discipline around the world as well as an educational institution and a training centre. The political will exists to transform it into a model of success and a method of creating social ties, with the help of public and private partnerships. The objective is to spread the word about this discipline and create resources in several languages to pass on the educational message.

Achievements
The academy already exists and courses are available to beginners and experts alike (with courses possible in schools, associations and businesses, not to mention within the context of reintegration programmes). At the end of 2009, Majestic Force finished converting and moved into a permanent headquarters in Evry. The academy has helped create jobs in the realms of the arts, live performance and climbing, while ensuring the communication of values and notions of social bonding through sport and via various specific courses. ADD ACADEMY already enjoys the support of several bodies (including the town councils of Evry and Choisy le Roi, the General Councils of the 91st and 94th departments, France Cultures and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and intends to spread its reach to other parts of France and further afield in the future.
