CEO, Rip Curl International, Rip Curl Foundation
Previously Managing Director at Millet then the Lafuma Group, Olivier Cantet joined Rip Curl Europe in 2003, replacing François Payot as Chief Executive. For the last 6 years, the keen skier and accomplished mountaineer has driven RCE forward with his business expertise, helping his European teams to cross the threshold of 100 million Euros from 2006 onwards. In addition, he is committed to worthy causes, as shown by the voluntary impetus that he gave to the Rip Curl Planet Foundation in 2005.
By dint of his vast travel experience, be it on skiing, climbing or surfing trips, or during expeditions on all 5 continents, the nomadic mountain-climber has successfully spread the Rip Curl’s Search event philosophy and the company’s values in general.
Prior to his directorial roles, Olivier Cantet held the post of Sales Manager at Europe 1 (Europe 2, RFM and Skyrock).
A graduate of ESSEC Business School in 1987, he began his career as a consultant at Bossard Spain.
He is also an administrator of FIFAS (International Federation of Sportswear Manufacturers).
