Former Marketing and Sponsorship Director of LOCOG, current board member and trustee of International Inspiration

 Philip Beard is a Non-Executive Director for AEG, owners and operators of The O2. A part of the launch team, Philip joined AEG as Chief Executive of The O2 in 2006 and was tasked with the commercial strategy and performance of The O2 as well as being responsible for all the sporting activity within the building. Philip played an integral role in securing The O2 as the new venue for the ATP World Tour Finals and its new home in London.

Most recently he has become a board member and trustee of International Inspiration, the programme set up to deliver on the promise made to the IOC in Singapore of engaging and inspiring the youth of the world through sport.

Philip joined AEG from LOCOG where he was Marketing and Sponsorship Director. He was a key part of the Olympic Bid management team and describes the announcement in Singapore that London had won the 2012 Olympic Games as one of the best of his life.

Earlier in his career Philip was part of the team that developed the Air Miles loyalty programme with British Airways. Following the success launch of Air Miles in the UK, he moved to North America to launch the US and Canadian programmes.
