He studied Business Administration in the USA and speaks Spanish, Italian, French, English and German.
In 1984 he founded the company TeleSat, the first company to supply systems for satellite television reception.
He is also a pioneering businessman in the field of mobile-phone sales in Spain and France.
He is currently involved in asset management and property mediation in France, Germany and Spain.
His biggest passion is sailing; an activity he combines with his business commitments.
Since 1982 he has carried out 37 maritime expeditions, winning eleven world records.
Via his sea crossings he has been able to achieve humanitarian aid for non-governmental organisations such as Tierra de Hombres, Mensajeros de la Paz, Cáritas and Desarrollo y Asistencia.
He also writes books, produces documentaries (for National Geographic Channel, among other TV channels) and speaks at conferences around the world.
